Is this allowed?
Yes. Comment-only feedback is an established category, and the largest operators in this market do exactly this. The IB draws its line at a third party editing assessed work, and we comment in the margin of a copy. The policy sets out the line in detail, and you are welcome to show it to your coordinator.
What is the difference between this and my teacher reading it?
Mostly time and distance. Your supervisor is allowed one draft and has a queue; they also know what you meant, which is exactly what stops them noticing that you did not write it down. We only have what is on the page, which is also all the moderator will have.
What does the report physically look like?
A criterion table, a copy of your draft with comments in the margin, and a list of the three changes that would move you most. No tracked changes, and nothing in it is a sentence you could paste.
How fast?
A TOK essay or an IA comes back within 48 hours as standard, or 24 hours for $25 more. An Extended Essay takes three business days as standard, 48 hours for $12 more, or 24 hours for $25 more. When we are full, the rush option is switched off. Late by the turnaround you paid for and the fee is refunded, and you still get the report.
My draft is rough. Is it too early?
Send it, and say so in the notes. A criterion table on a rough draft tells you what to build before you polish anything, and the recheck round is there for the version after.
Will you give me a predicted grade?
You get the band each criterion sits in now and what the band above requires, which is what a grade is made of. The final mark is set in moderation, against a sample nobody outside the IB sees.
Which subjects?
Feedback on an Internal Assessment, an Extended Essay or TOK in any IB subject. If we are not right for your piece we say so before you pay. Tutoring in Chemistry, Physics, both Maths courses, Biology, Economics, TOK, and History on request.
Who reads it?
Read by a small team of former IB students whose own work in that component scored in the top band, in your subject where we have one. The founder's record is on the about page.
My parent is paying.
Then they should be the one contracting with us. For under-18s that is a legal requirement in most of Europe. Put their email on the order and we will confirm to both of you.
